The following night at the dinner table was an awkward one. While Jessica and Chamberlain were scheduled for a night out on the town, he suddenly cancelled with grave news that he wasn't quite willing to share. Instead he asked that she wear her very best and attend the dinner at his family estate with him.

She wasn't sure why, but did as was instructed; wearing a much different 'little black dress' than before. The first time she stepped into Mr. Chamberlain's estate in the Hamptons, she came here to try and secure her future. Now, she came as an active piece to Mr. Chamberlain's empire, and had the budding confidence to wear the sparkling black dress that rose up well above the thigh. Matching black shoes were next, as was the ample cleavage which was barely contained in the very modest bust design.

Her hair-unlike her first visit-was expertly tended to, and hung down her neck and shoulders like a smoldering black fire of curls that sculpted her like a living incarnation of a dragon, much so that when she arrived arm-in-arm with Mr. Chamberlain, the entire family was left gasping at her approach.

Dinner-as it was-had been designed around the family announcement of Montgomery Senior's stepping down and letting his first and oldest son take over the business. This in spite of slight dismay from other members--those of which Jessica didn't even know existed--who felt they were entitled to it, but the decision was made final before dessert came, and apparently was with the understanding that only Montgomery Chamberlain II was capable of carrying the Empire of Javelin Enterprises into the future. Lord knows he worked hard for it.

However... tensions began rising when--in an instance that surprised Jessica--all members of the house were dismissed, including the family members. Even more shocking was that Jessica was asked to stay by Mr. Chamberlain himself, despite his father's protests. The reason being that 'she was privy to hear about the future of Javelin Enterprises'.

When all but three remained, Montgomery Sr. wasted no time. "First I'd like to point out that you're behaving most inappropriately."

"Surely..." Jr. stated with a roll of his eyes. "It has nothing to do with you making back-room details contrary to the benefit of the company."

"I'm in my purview of making any decisions upon my retirement that will benefit our company, son. Tiffany has been with the company ever since I made it a State-wide venture across more than thirteen States."

"And who expanded it to include possible Global ventures father? Surely you, with your grass-root American banter surely didn't consider how the market could expand should we include global giants in China and Japan, yes? The same companies you once turned down because you felt it would defrock the company family name."

Sr. huffed, slamming his palms against the table. And poor Jessica; seated between the two as she suddenly realized why Jr. asked her to stay. He was fighting for her...

"I will not have this name tarnished by that little tramp-"

"Pick your words carefully dad.
